Tentative Construction Schedule Work on the foundations has begun and will continue throughout May. June 7-14 the Methodist “Blitz Build” will take place, completing the one-story house facing the back street. June 16th construction will continue on the house sponsored by area Presbyterian churches, the two-story facing E. Market St. The walls, which are being pre-built by George Jr.’s industrial arts classes, are scheduled to be erected June 23rd. Construction will continue throughout the summer, with roofing expected to take place in the beginning of July, dry walling at the end of July, and interior and finish work after that. How to volunteer If you are interested in volunteering for any of the construction phases, or any of the support teams (meals, children’s program, fundraising, etc.) contact Walt Johnson. He can direct you to the coordinators for each team and phase of construction, who can tell you more about what is needed and when. Habitat Kids Kids, you can get involved with the Habitat project too! Trinity will be hosting Habitat Kids programs on Saturday workdays, beginning with June 28th and July 12th, 8:00am – noon. Children will enjoy games, crafts, snacks, learning activities, and a visit to the Habitat worksite. Lessons will help us understand God’s call to us to help those in need and to respond to his love with action. (Habitat’s “Theology of the Hammer”) These programs are open to any children who would like to attend, and are especially geared towards providing an activity and childcare for the children of worksite volunteers. Register with the Trinity office ahead of time if you know your children will attend, or you can simply arrive the day of the program.
